My Journey
My name is Amanda and I live with my husband and teenage daughter in Devon. I work in a busy primary school as a SENDCo Assistant.
I have a strong foundation in the travel industry, holding a variety of roles across several well-known agencies before specialising as part of a tour operator focused on polar journeys. During this time, I was fortunate to travel extensively, venturing as far north as the Canadian Arctic in search of polar bears and as far south as Antarctica where I encountered remarkable wildlife including diverse penguin species. My travels have taken me to many extraordinary destinations across 5 continents from African Safaris to The Ice Hotel, giving me a wide range of knowledge and expertise.
After taking a step back from the travel industry to raise my daughter, I have spent the last 16 years working with children. Throughout this time, my enthusiasm for travel has remained strong, particularly through our family’s love of theme parks. Together, we have enjoyed numerous trips to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Disneyland Resort in California, and Disneyland Paris, experiencing a wide range of resorts and attractions including many non-Disney parks. Our travels have even taken us to Aulani, Disney’s resort in Hawaii, with exciting plans underway to explore Disney destinations across Asia and embark on our first Disney cruise.
I’ll be honest, it took me a bit of convincing before I finally took the leap. Someone I used to work with was already in the business, and I watched her journey for a while. She was doing so well that she became a Director in Training, and seeing her success made me realise it was time to stop watching from the sidelines and start changing my own life. What began as a simple way to save on travel soon became a chance to share an amazing opportunity with others. Seeing so many people change their lives made me realise I could do the same, and so could you.
